Tell Me Something More by Pamela Hale-Burns

Pamela Hale-Burns w/ Nancy Rench

Initially when I was asked to be a part of Something More, I was a bit unclear on what the organization was about. But after I attended my first Something More event in November 2015, I was not only impressed, but amazed at what the words, Something More, really meant to this group of ladies.
First, I was asked to participate on a talk show panel, where the focus discussion was on whether or not being around beautiful women made us feel inferior on self-conscious about who we are and what we looked like. The outcome of that discussion encouraged women to be secure in who they are and what they look like more on the inside than the outside.

With today’s headlines filled with discouraging events and the foolish actions of people, who can only be described with adjectives I cannot use, society needs Something More. We need to do Something More, give Something More, be Something More and Tell Something More.

Joining this group of empowering women was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my 48 years. I am glad to have been introduced to a group of positive women - entrepreneurs with a passion and a love for what they do and a desire to pay it forward - women who give of themselves to help others without hesitation. What an encouragement to me – an encouragement to step out on faith and walk in the path and plan God has in place for me.

To date, I have attended about three Something More events and each time I’ve walked away feeling something more. I’ve felt spiritually and mentally taller. I’ve felt empowered to, not only look beyond my own circumstances and reach for something more, but to encourage others to do the same
